If you are planning to visit an Arab country it will be useful to learn the names of bugs and insects. You never know when the mosquitoes in Mauritania will interrupt your sleep, or when a couple of flies will start roaming around your food in Morocco.

It is very interesting to know that all bugs are insects, but under the technical definition, not all insects are bugs. True bugs normally belong to the order of insects which is known as Hemiptera. Besides, there are few characteristics which distinguish bugs from other insects: If you look at the bugs, you will find out that most of the bugs have a straw-shaped mouth, or stylet, that they normally use for either sap juice from plants or blood from animals. They also tend to have long, segmented antennae and wings which are tough and dark where they meet the body and are thin and tanslucent at the ends. These are some few characteristics which distinguish them from insects. Some of the insects that are known with bug in their names are actually not the true bugs, like ladybugs, and June bugs, both of them are beetles.
